Athletic physique trots swiftly down to the sheltered darkness, the chill ceasing at the barn doors as her muzzle squeaked through the door. Pads sunk in the inches of hay as charcoal optics studied the barn. It seemed quiet, no other canines, and she suspected it safe enough to sleep in. Twilight chirped its voice between the crickets and the silence, the time of day Tabitha seemed to enjoy the most. She took a deep breath, hind legs buckling as her front paws steadied her slender silhoutte on the tip of an abandoned wheelbarrow.
She examined the contents - a moldy heap of straw, and a nest of mice. Tabby hummed under her breath in annoyance as it was already inhabited. She picked up a trot and stepped cautiously into the nearest stall. She collapsed in one of the corners, looking around cautiously.
